Jiang Wei (rōmaji: Kyō I) is a general of the Three Kingdoms era who first served Ma Zun. He surrendered to Shu when his station was attacked and was praised by Zhuge Liang. Jiang Wei took it upon himself after the Prime Minister's death to keep waging war with Wei in the north. Even with Liu Shan's surrender to Deng Ai, Jiang Wei would oppose Wei until his death. The results show that the GSW algorithm can accurately retrieve LST from Landsat-8 data, and errors mainly come from the uncertainty of LSEs and TPW. This paper addresses land surface temperature (LST) retrieval from Landsat-8 data using the generalized split-window (GSW) algorithm. First, radiative transfer modeling experiment is conducted using the moderate spectral resolution atmospheric transmittance algorithm and computer model fed with SeeBor V5.0 atmospheric profile database to build a data set of LST related to brightness temperatures in Thermal Infrared Sensor (TIRS) bands 10 and 11, land surface emissivities (LSEs), and total precipitable water (TPW). Then, the GSW algorithm’s coefficients are obtained through linear regression, in which the simulated data are grouped into several sub-ranges to improve the accuracy. The impacts of noise equivalent temperature difference and uncertainty of LSEs and TPW on derived LST are evaluated. Next, the TIRS channels 10 and 11 are inter-calibrated against the channels of infrared atmospheric sounding interferometer on board Metop-B. After that, LST is retrieved from the re-calibrated and clear sky Landsat-8 data using the GSW algorithm, where LSEs are estimated from the measurements of operational land imager on Landsat-8 by the modified normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) based emissivity method, and TPW is extracted from the european centre for medium-range weather forecasts reanalysis data. The quality of Landsat 8 sensor data has been improved after a series of corrections and data reprocessing since its successful launch on February 11, 2013. These include the correction of all calibration parameters, the improvement of the radiance conversion coefficients for the all Operational Land Imager (OLI) sensor bands, the refinement of the OLI detector linearization, the radiometric offset correction for the two Thermal Infrared Sensor (TIRS) bands, the slight improvement to the geolocation of the TIRS data, and the reprocessing of all Landsat 8 data held in the USGS archives. Surface water mapping is essential for monitoring climate change, water resources, ecosystem services and the hydrological cycle. In this study, we adopt a multilayer perceptron (MLP) neural network to identify surface water in Landsat 8 satellite images. To evaluate the performance of the proposed method when extracting surface water, eight images of typical regions are collected, and a water index and support vector machine are employed for comparison. Through visual inspection and a quantitative index, the performance of the proposed algorithm in terms of the entire scene classification, various surface water types and noise suppression is comprehensively compared with those of the water index and support vector machine. Moreover, band optimization, image preprocessing and a training sample for the proposed algorithm are analyzed and discussed. We find that (1) based on the quantitative evaluation, the performance of the surface water extraction for the entire scene when using the MLP is better than that when using the water index or support vector machine. The overall accuracy of the MLP ranges from 98.25–100%, and the kappa coefficients of the MLP range from 0.965–1. The advances in deep learning-based pathological image analysis have invoked tremendous insights into cancer prognostication. Still, lack of interpretability remains a significant barrier to clinical application. We established an integrative prognostic neural network for intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (iCCA), towards a comprehensive evaluation of both architectural and fine-grained information from whole-slide images. Then, leveraging on multi-modal data, we conducted extensive interrogative approaches to the models, to extract and visualize the morphological features that most correlated with clinical outcome and underlying molecular alterations. The models were developed and optimized on 373 iCCA patients from our center and demonstrated consistent accuracy and robustness on both internal (n = 213) and external (n = 168) cohorts. The occlusion sensitivity map revealed that the distribution of tertiary lymphoid structures, the geometric traits of the invasive margin, the relative composition of tumor parenchyma and stroma, the extent of necrosis, the presence of the disseminated foci, and the tumor-adjacent micro-vessels were the determining architectural features that impacted on prognosis. We investigated a diffraction optical waveguide structure with a double layer coupling configuration. This double layer-coupled diffraction optical waveguide structure modulates light information through wavefront modulation for propagation within the optical waveguide and then reproduces the light information through further wavefront modulation, thus achieving optical information transmission.
